Improvements & Corrections
- Rework of the DVD export function to become the low resolution export which
handles iPod, iPhone, PDAs, Photo Frames & DVD players.
- EXIF DateTimeDigitized field was not being handled correctly.
- Image registration error "Multiple-step operation generated errors. Check each
status value." where the preference was turned on to set the date time from the
EXIF information and where the DateTimeDigitized field was required to be used.
- Image registration form has additional checks added for deletion of the current
image record in other modules.
- Slide show export
- Bug corrected causing small output text where only
captioned image output was selected.
- Changes made to improve the relativity of the base
font size when compared to a PC slide show

Multiple configuration profiles for DVD export parameter sets. You
can now setup different profiles for each output device you have.
Improvements
- Windows 7 update to correct a failed installed memory check
- Faster initial graphics calibration
- Slide show transition speed dynamic tuning. Long running transitions are
cancelled and transition parameters are adjusted to make the next repeat of this
transition faster.
- License upgrade support. Stability updates are available to all CyPics users,
new features are only available to current license holders. A new toolbar icon
indicates when your license has expired.

- EXIF DateOriginal & DateDigitized incorrectly named. Should be DateTimeOriginal
& DateTimeDigitized
- In the user configuration file the tag "Caption", "EXIF Date Original" should
have been "Caption", "EXIF Date Time Original"
- For LAN drives copy the image locally for EXIF and IPTC extraction as the
routine is doing many IOs which is slow across the LAN
- The routine getEXIFDateFromFile was change to get the date directly (one item)
as against all the EXIF info
- The routine GetFileImageInfoText was changed not to display EXIF from LAN
drives, 7+ seconds penalty

EXIF and IPTC aware
EXIF is a standard for image files created with digital cameras and other input
devices. The standard is set by the Japan Electronic Industry Development Association,
and formally it is called the Digital Still Camera Image File Format Standard. EXIF
files contain either uncompressed TIFF images or compressed JPEG images.
The IPTC-NAA comments are standardized by the International Press Telecommunications
Council in collaboration with Newspaper Association of America. More information about
these comments can be found on IPTC’s web site (http://www.iptc.org). IPTC
comments can be saved inside TIFF and JPEG files.
