Upgrading from V3.1.x of CyPics
To upgrade you must download the full V3.6 installation program from the
links at the top of this page. All registered users are
eligible for this upgrade.
Before installing V3.6 you must uninstall your existing CyPics
installation from Start, Settings, Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs. If
you cannot find an uninstall option here then download the small uninstall
program from http://www.cywarp.com/photoalbumdownload.htm#Uninstall.
CyPics version 3.1 and earlier used an early version of Windows
Installer technology which was giving some problems across multiple Windows
platforms. V3.6 does not use Windows Installer so it is desirable to remove
of all traces of it by de-installing first. The install upgrade also gave
the opportunity to bundle in the installation of the autorun CD components
in the same installation without any real increase to the download
size.
V3.6 will automatically upgrade the database to the latest format which
is not backwards compatible to 3.1. If you require the option to go back
you should take a copy. You cannot have both 3.1 and 3.6 installed on a
machine concurrently and have both work. You can however uninstall one and
install the other.
If you are upgrading this would be an ideal time to backup your albums
before they are upgraded to the latest version.

Registering CyPics
Please consult the order page when you are
ready to register your copy. When you register you are issued with a
registration code that unlocks the full program capabilities which
otherwise would start reducing shortly after the 30 day trial period is
over.
